RELATED: Stray: Things That Will Hit Home For Cat Owners

Thankfully, escaping from prison in Chapter 11 of Stray isn’t actually all that challenging, nor are there many side activities to distract players from their mission. In fact, they’ll only really need to worry about a single B-12 memory, as they’ll need to scratch something in order to progress the main story, thus ensuring that the requirement for the “Territory” trophy is met.

How to Complete Chapter 11 of Stray

When Chapter 11 of Stray first begins, players will find themselves locked inside a small cage. If they keep moving from left to right though, they’ll build up enough momentum to smash the cage open and will then be able to jump onto the nearby pipe. Following this to the end of the room and then doubling back across the beams will lead players to a grate with a red light on the other side, which is where they should head next.

In the following room, players should jump onto the metal beam to their left to move the cage so that it’s within range of the barrels and the other metal beam. They can then head over to the other side of the room and jump from the beam to the cage before using the barrels to reach the door of the cell.

By passing through the bars in the cell door and then hopping onto the air conditioning unit on the right, players will be able to reach an upper level of the prison. They’ll soon need to hop back down but can do so on the other side of a metal gate that had previously been blocking their progress. Here, they should head into the first cell on their right and use the tunnel under the bed to skip past the security drone’s patrol path.

After returning to the hallway, players will need to hop onto the dumpster by the boxes and use it to reach the area above. There, they’ll find Clementine locked in a cell to their left and, after a short cutscene, will be able to go about finding the key to release her.

The key to Clementine’s cell is in the security office opposite, which can be accessed by entering the cell to the left and then heading out onto the balcony via the barred window. From here, players will be able to get inside the security office and grab the key, which they’ll then need to drop on the ground outside Clementine’s cell.

Now that Clementine is free, players should follow her until they trigger a cutscene showing B-12’s containment chamber. After this, they’ll head downstairs and can then set about trying to free the faithful companion character. The first step toward doing so will require them to jump through the gap in the barred window that’s just up ahead of them, which will lead to a room with red security lasers.

To avoid these lasers, players can hop onto the boxes on the right side of the room and then use the vent shafts and tube light to make it to the other side. Once there, they’ll need to use the pipes and air conditioning units on the wall to their left to avoid some more lasers, while also being careful not to be spotted by the security drone in the middle.

Eventually, they’ll reach the end of the hallway and should then head for the security office ahead and to their right. Inside is a lever that will disable all of the security lasers, though jumping on it will also alert all of the security drones. Players should take a moment to monitor their new patrol paths before picking up B-12 with the triangle button and returning to the spot where Clementine is waiting.

Once B-12 is up and running again, it will automatically open the nearby door, allowing the group to reach a new area. Here, players will need to push over the pile of bricks on top of the dumpster, which will lead to Clementine hurling one of them through the window above the door. She’ll then bend down, allowing players to jump on her head and through the now broken window to pull the lever on the other side.

The next door will lead players out into the prison courtyard, where they’ll need to trap the security drones inside the prison cells over on the left. This can be accomplished by intentionally getting seen by the drones and then running into the cells. When the drones inevitably follow, players can run back outside and hack the door control mechanism with B-12 to lock the drones in.

There’s one security drone in the first section of the courtyard and two in the second, though tricking them is actually fairly easy once players know what they’re doing. Before exiting via the door on the far side of the courtyard though, players should be sure to examine the dead robot that’s propped up against the dumpster in the area separating the two parts of the courtyard for another one of B-12’s memories.

In the next area, players will need to pass through the broken vent shaft in the wall to their right and then pull the lever on the other side so that Clementine can get through. After this, they should walk over to the side of the truck and scratch at the keys sticking out of the door. Doing so will lead to Clementine backing the truck up to the nearby high-security area, allowing players to hop over the fence via the truck.

Once on the other side of the fence, players should make their way to the lever in the security office. As soon as they pull it, the main gate will open and an army of security drones will suddenly show up, so players will need to quickly make their way back the way they came and hop back over the fence. They’ll then have to run after the truck, zigzagging until they get close enough to hop onto the back of it to finally escape the Midtown jail.

Following another cutscene, Clementine will drop players off at the Midtown station and give them the Subway Key before hurriedly leaving to avoid being caught by the pursuing sentinels. If they didn’t already do so earlier, players should now make their way back down to the subway station’s basement and place the Atomic Battery into the socket on the wall.

With power finally restored to the underground station, players will now be able to head up to the driver’s carriage of the subway train that’s sitting on the platform. Using the Subway Key here will turn on the train, which will then take players out of Midtown and into the twelfth and final chapter of Stray, Control Room.
