And while Eminem is always prominent in the music industry, he’s not usually so much so in the gaming industry. Yet, it seems the artist could be the next to host a concert with Fortnite, if recent happenings and rumors are any suggestion.

Eminem x Fortnite Rumors
As pointed out by Fortnite account and Epic Games Partner HYPEX, the only artist playing on Fortnite’s Icon Radio on August 13 was Eminem. This includes some of his most popular songs, such as Godzilla, Not Afraid, Venom, Monster, Berzerk, Survival, and a handful more. In other words, it doesn’t seem to be a bug but an intentional choice on part of Epic Games. This choice could be because of the recent release of Curtain Call 2, but at the same time, that would have likely been closer to August 5, not a week after.
Many believe this is going to result in a Fortnite collaboration of some sort, either with a Slim Shady skin or a concert. Of these options, the latter makes the most sense if heavily curated, and in the grand scheme of things, it seems like it is only a matter of time. There have been several in-game concerts for Fortnite, including artists like Travis Scott, Marshmello, and Ariana Grande. And no disrespect to these artists, but their legacy is not half that of Eminem. Combining one of the most-known rap artists with one of the most-known games in the industry and beyond is a simple match made in heaven.
Of course, there is the question too of whether Eminem would go for it or not. But Eminem’s presence in the gaming industry, while minor, is not unheard of, and if any gaming company could foot Eminem’s bill, it’s likely Epic Games. It’s hard to say what comes of this, however, but whether it’s relatively soon or relatively far away, an Eminem and Fortnite collaboration simply makes sense.
Fortnite is available now on mobile platforms, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
